About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at Pine Bluff Arsenal in Pine Bluff Arkansas. This position serves as Supply Technician (Forklift Operator) performing receipt and issue for all hazardous/non-hazardous materials with Class V/CDE components.
Duties
Maintains automated supply data and source materials and lists for use in procurement of supplies and parts.
Uses knowledge of supply policies and regulations to identify discrepancies in automated systems and databases.
Serves as technical resource person for employee's working with and handling hazardous materials and Chemical Defense Equipment.
Performs reviews and screenings for incoming hazardous material receipts to ensure proper handling requirements are met.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State and Government driver’s license.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift operator license.
- This position requires a pre-employment physical examination.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) assisting with screening incoming hazardous material receipts 2) Performing some supply management duties regarding receiving, issuing, storage, and processing of documents/materials related to both direct and indirect hazardous/non-hazardous items. 3) Operating material handling equipment to load, unload, and/or move equipment and/or supplies.and 4) Using supply regulations, policies, procedures or other instructions relating to the specific functions assigned. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
