About the Position: Position is located in the Department of Radiology in the main hospital, first floor of Brooke Army Medical Center. Hours of work are Mon - Friday, 7am - 4pm. occasional overtime. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

Incorporates information and guidance specific to Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Army (DA), MEDCOM, OTSG, Joint Commission (JC) rules, and local MTF rules, regulations, and policies relative to the specific organization segment. Recommendations often result in changes to command policy and guidance where research, analysis of data discloses unfavorable trends, situations, or deviations from sound management principles. Coordinates, prepares, and plans the annual departmental operating budget; develop cost account analyses, projections, and justifications. Serves as Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for the administrative support of civilian contracts and as consultant resolving all inquiries.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes advising on Healthcare System issues and policies; providing analysis and/or recommendations in assessing clinical business activities on improving clinical performance. Monitoring and/or coordinating personnel matters for an organization; assisting in the preparation of reports such as: annual budget, contracting requirements, provider productivity; ensures efficient operation of assigned clinical and modality services within the medical facility. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as health care administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
