This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Operational Support Division, Cyber Support Section (SCC). This position(s) primary purpose is to serve as the Management Analyst and advisor for administrative operation support responsible for the planning, collecting, analyzing, and managing administrative and fiscal programs, and all aspects supporting infrastructure related to cyber investigations.

As a your typical work assignments may include: Evaluating and supporting administrative programs that impact the Cyber Support Section. Implementing management improvements in administrative areas identified through means such as internal control reviews and management studies. Providing administrative support, programmatic oversight, and management of all contract actions supporting the Cyber Support Section. Utilizing various databases and record systems to confirm current staffing levels. Providing administrative support, advice, and guidance to employees on all aspects pertaining to human resources, contracting, and fiscal related issues.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Qualification claims will be subject to verification. You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to a GS-0343-12. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You may qualify at the GS-0343-13 level if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service (or equivalent) performing the following duties: 1) Reviewing, enhancing, and recommending program changes in policy and procedures for more efficient operations. 2) Managing business processes within the DEA agency, including fiscal acquisitions/procurement, budgeting, human resources, and property and facilities management. 3) Providing management of contract actions and program oversight. Competencies: Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competencies in the following areas: Administration and ManagementPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-13 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-12 The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
