About the Position: This is a Military Technician position with the 85th USAR Support Command, 188th Infantry Brigade located at Fort Stewart, Georgia. Duties

Provide oversight of work performed by battalion level Staff Administrative Specialist. Monitor and inform supervisor on status and progress of work, ensuring completed work meets supervisor's expectations. Review correspondence submitted by Command staff or subordinate units for submission to higher Headquarters. Advise Commander, Supervisory Staff Administrator, Headquarters staff, and subordinate Commands regarding administrative matters. Provide assistance in planning and development of support programs related to public affairs, protocol, Command ceremonies and special events.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience is defined as advising Headquarters staff and subordinate Commands on administrative matters; interpreting administrative guidance on unit requirements; identifying training needs of unit personnel; identifying, distributing, and balancing workload priorities; and providing technical guidance on automated systems supporting military programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Organizational Management and Leadership, Public Administration, Business Administration, and Management. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementLeadershipOral CommunicationPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
