About the Position: Serves as the Executive Officer to the Garrison Commander of the U.S. Army Garrison, Fort Stewart. Provides staff direction and coordination garrison-wide of special staff actions and projects for the Garrison Command Group.

Duties

Analyze and interpret rules, regulations, directives, correspondence and related publications on matters of administration and keeps apprised of significant changes and developments for local impact and/or implementation. Develop plans and schedules to ensure that Garrison projects are managed properly and completed in a timely manner to meet command objectives. Formulate and recommend new policies and revisions of policy, program documents, and regulations to provide advice and assistance to resolve problems and maintain continuity of work and Base Operations (BASOPS) missions. Review and recommend plans covering the details of projects including the approach, methods, and procedures to be used to obtain optimum results.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled.
  • his position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
  • One year supervisory probationary period.
