About the Position: This position is located at U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 407th Logistics Readiness Center, Transportation Division, Personnel Service Branch Personal Property Section, Fort Cavazos, TX 76544.
This is a TEMP position not to exceed 1 year. Temporary appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three years.
Duties
Ensure containers are accurately marked with proper gross, tare, and/or net weights for shipping.
Advise customers on transportation services offered to ensure they choose the best option for their move.
Inspect packing process to ensure packing methods use proper sizes containers and/or packing materials for each item.
Ensure loading and/or unloading is done in a way to prevent damage of mover?s property.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.
- May be required to work various hours to include holidays, weekends, or on-call duty.
- Overtime may be required on short notice to include nights, holidays and weekends in support of related mission requirements.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes answering customers transportation inquiries and preparing customer move documentation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
