You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the Global Deterrence Defense Dept of the Strategic Systems Guidance, Navigation, & Control division of the Strategic Systems Test & Production Branch of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $128,043). NT-05 is equivalent to the GS 13 and 14.

Duties

You will interface with SP24 program office, contract support (Lockheed Martin) and Program Management Office (PMO). You will Support FSR (Fleet Service Review), PMR (Program Management Review) and all other briefings associated with SP 24 Navigation. You will team with SP24 logistic lead and SP24 task Manager to address program concerns or issues. You will read and understand all ODs and quality documents. You will coordinate requirements to meet yearly production/repair requirements and to support any engineering tasking. You will maintain tracking of all acquisition (piece parts, equipment test/production) from creation to receipt, ensuring we are compliant with OMS requirements. You will interface with all vendors for any parts and equipment that support NSS items. You will manage, schedule, track and report all production/repair for Hydrophone, Thermistor and Transducer.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11/12) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and developing technical engineering procedures by applying engineering principles and methodologies to define and document requirements for various electronic products for repair and production processes.
