About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US Army NETCOM, Headquarters Acofs G-2, Intelligence Acofs G-2, Intelligence COMSEC & CI Division, Fort Huachuca, AZ.
Duties
Serves as an All Source Intelligence Officer with emphasis on SCI (sensitive compartmented information) threat cyber intelligence in support of NETCOMs mission.
Performs many duties as a Cyber Intelligence Watch Officer and provides SCI intelligence support to the G2 and Cyber Watch Current Operations as required.
Provides operational oversight, operational situational awareness and mission status reporting to the NETCOM watch center and the G2 through uninterrupted secure and non-secure voice or message communications.
Develops close liaison with counterparts in NETCOM subordinate commands, ARCYBER, USCYBERCOM and Service Cyber Intelligence Organizations to ensure synchronization and integrity of assessments and intelligence products.
Assists with the development of tailored intelligence and information products.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- This position is Automated Data Processing (ADP) Sensitive II.
- Required to work shift work if the organization moves to a 24/7 operation.
- Call back and emergency duty may be a requirement of this position during contingency operations.
- Required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Overtime and shift work may be required on short notice to include nights, holidays, and weekends in support of related mission requirements and/or during contingency operations.
- Two-year trial period may be required.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-11).

Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
