You will serve as a Paralegal Specialist of REGION LEGAL SERVICE OFC MID-ATLANTIC.
Duties
You will Interview victims and witnesses to obtain and verify information and prepare for trial.
You will analyze and evaluate case files against case litigation worthiness standards.
You will prepare forms, standard legal documents and routine correspondence.
You will conduct investigation and information gathering to determine pertinent facts.
You will make continuous updates as well as making sure crucial documents are uploaded into the system.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing a knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methods of legal research and analysis sufficient to perform recurring case development and documentation assignments. Examples of specialzied experience include: 1) Analyzing and evaluating case files against case litigation worthiness standards; 2) Conducting investigation and information gathering to determine pertinent facts; 3) Making continuous updates as well as making sure crucial documents are uploaded into the system; and 4) Interviewing victims and witnesses to obtain and verify information and prepare for trial.

Education
GS-09 Substitution of Education for Experience: Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR successfully completed two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree; OR obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled; OR a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
