This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Superintendent, Library Building and Grounds (LBG). The Business Financial Analyst will serve as a principle financial advisor on the effectiveness of budget and financial operations and programs within the LBG. Tasks include obtaining information from managers to formulate the budget, preparing the budget presentation for review and coordinating with the AOC Budget Office on budget execution.
Duties
The Business Financial Analyst will analyze current and proposed operations and processes of the organization and advise senior managers on financial matters pertaining to these issues for the LBG.

Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, an applicant's one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for successful job performance.
To qualify at the GS-13 level, your resume must clearly demonstrate that you have one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to at least the GS-12 level in the federal service. Examples of qualifying experience include the following types of tasks performed on a regular and recurring basis: (1) Serving as an lead advisor on budgetary matters and execution and interpretation of policies, regulations, and laws related to the federal financial and budget programs and processes; (2) providing written recommendations to organization or department leadership on financial management and budgeting findings; (3) conducting analysis and reviewing qualitative and quantitative data and processes of financial programs to measure program efficiency and effectiveness; and (4) Creating charts, presentations and reports using financial analytics tools and data.
