About the Position: The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Armaments Center serves as the Army's technology leader for armament systems. DEVCOM AC ensures dominance of Army capabilities by researching, developing, integrating and delivering technology-enabled armament solutions to our Warfighters. Armaments Center has a long tradition as the primary research and development center for new and existing armament systems which are in use by U.S. service members around the world.
Duties
Participate in meetings and project review of weapon prototype systems.
Modify existing products, or complete fabrication, integration, and/or post processing of prototypes.
Evaluate product and schedule requirements to make recommendations to project leaders.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- Three-year trial/probationary period may be required.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Moving expenses will not be paid and a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.

Specialized Experience:
DB-02- One year of specialized experience which includes identifying obvious deviations in data, preparing data profiles and identifying technical problems.
DB-03- One year of specialized experience which includes: Specialized experience is defined as performing ALL of the following duties: 1) Applies technical knowledge of engineering methodologies associated with indirect weapons systems in prototyping; 2) Leads laboratory efforts in indirect fire weapon integration, testing, and general laboratory operation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DB-02 or GS-11)
