You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT (O/A) in the Maintenance Management Center
of MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS COMMAND.

Duties
You will independently take action on conventional matters, referring technical and other similar inquires to appropriate personnel, based on a knowledge of office programs and functions.
You will personally respond to non-technical requests for information.
You will gather information from staff members, files and other sources, determines its relevance to the satiation at hand.
You will make travel requirements.
You will manages director?s calendar based on personal knowledge of the workload and current issues without prior approval.
You will conduct management studies and surveys relating to office management.
u will serve as records management coordinator for the organization.
You will type using various types of information processing/office automation equipment.
You will prepare in final form all types of documentation and forms for the organizations administration and management.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You may recalled to Duty outside of normal work hours.
- This position requires which requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position. I am willing and able to submit to a SCHR check.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting management studies and survey for improving quality and effectiveness of programs, preparing correspondence, documents and forms in final form, controlling and maintaining records and using automated systems to provide administrative support for an organization.
