The Accountability & Strategic Business Management Directorate (AHA) is a part of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Office of Human Resource Management (AHR). The Manager for the Information Systems Branch reports to the Director for the HR Information Systems Division, which reports to the AHA Deputy Executive Director. The Branch Manager is responsible for FAA's human resources information systems, applications, & process improvement through technology.
Duties
The Information Systems Branch Manager (Manager) oversees the work of the branch, which includes projects and programs relating to Human Resource Information systems that may impact all FAA employees. The work includes complex projects based on the objectives of the organization and the FAA. The Manager communicates the organization's vision and objectives; sets priorities; manages budget and assigned resources; assigns work tasks and responsibilities; coaches and develops staff and organizational capabilities; assigns work tasks/projects; resolves all but unique problems independently; prepares performance standards and evaluates performance; holds employees accountable for misconduct; identifies employee training needs; and administers/approves leave and other policies.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-J, FG/GS-14 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.Specialized Experience can be defined as:-Experience analyzing, deploying, or supporting enterprise systems (e.g., HR Information Systems, Financial Information Systems, IT Service Management, Enterprise Resource Planning)AND-Skill in providing technical guidance, expertise, and knowledge of best practices leveraging no code/low code solutions to business productsAND-Skill in providing technical guidance and expertise on evaluating and acquiring enterprise-level, multi-module software productsYou should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
