About the Position: This is a Test Score Technician position that operates within the Testing section of the MEPS. The duty location for this position is in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Duties
Ensures that test scores are valid and entered into the automated system in a timely manner and consistent with policies and procedures for the DoD Military Personnel Testing Program.
Reports and investigates incidents of Test Loss/Compromise.
Provides training on proper test score data entry.
Serves as liaison to MEPS Service Liaisons for Test Score reporting.
Apprises Service Recruiting Liaisons of status of applicants whose test records are on hold pending action by the applicant or recruiter.
Ensures test score integrity to include: oversight of applicant eligibility to test or re-test; articulates special test situations to HQ Testing Division in order to obtain HQs approval/disapproval to exceptions to policy.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A National Agency Check w/ Inquiries (NACI) background investigation is required.
- Regular evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required.
- Frequent local travel and occasional TDY required.
- This position requires the ability to possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
Specialized experience is defined as: One year of experience entering test scores into a reporting system, providing training to test administrators and recruiters on test scoring data entry and procedures, AND conducting scoring analysis to ensure integrity of testing process. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field such as Business Administration or Education which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Management (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. Only degrees from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education are acceptable to meet positive education requirements or to substitute education for experience. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
