About the Position: The installation rests in the beautiful 'hill and lake' country of Central Texas between Killeen and Copperas Cove and is approximately 60 miles north of the capital city of Austin, 50 miles south of Waco, 160 miles south of Dallas, and 150 miles north of San Antonio. Duties
Reviewing and/or validating transportation vouchers or other personnel property documents.
Perform full range of transportation service for a variety of customers such as active duty military, reserve component, and DoD civilians.
Process authorized personal property shipment and/or storage entitlements paid for at government expense.
Perform pre-audits of transportation vouchers by using knowledge of carriers' rates and tariffs.
Advice customers on personal property shipment and/or storage entitlements using Transportation Regulation, guidance, and policies.
Determine most beneficial mode of transportations and conduct cost comparisons to determine cost effectiveness.

Specialized Experience for the GS-06 grade level: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing personal property entitlement and/or shipment documents and utilizing transportation automated systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
Specialized Experience for the GS-07 grade level: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing personal property entitlement and/or shipment documents and utilizing transportation automated systems to track shipments and/or estimate cost. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
