ABOUT THE POSITION: The U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID), a subordinate research laboratory under the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command, is the lead medical biological defense research laboratory for the DOD Chemical Biological Defense Program. Duties

Receive, execute, and track parts and service requests for processing with a Government purchase card, ensuring documentation in a system of record for timely completion of research equipment service. Ensure that all governmental contracts and purchasing requirements are in accordance all applicable regulations. Perform inventory accounting to maintain the integrity of accountable records. Maintain the computerized property books and registers as required in the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) System. Serve as the point of contact for all aged invoices, certifications, and receiving reports submitted manually or electronically.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance.
• Operation of a forklift if required. Incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a forklift licensure certification within 90 days of entrance into this position.

Qualifications

USAMRIID is participating in an alternative personnel system known as the Personnel Demonstration Project (PDP). The DJ-02 payband is equivalent to the GS-05 step 1 to GS-10 step 10 level, however Management has elected to announce at the higher end of the pay band (GS-09, step 1 to the GS-10, step 10). In keeping with the Demonstration pay fixing policies, employees earning a salary that falls within this payband equivalent, will not receive an immediate pay increase (promotion) if appointed to this position. Future pay increases within the payband will be accomplished through the pay for performance management system.
