You will serve as a Bill of Material Specialist in the MRO Logistics Department and of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will follow guidelines and processes to be used in creating and maintaining Bills of Material requirements, replacement rates, and incorporation of technical data changes. You will be responsible for replacement part Bills of Material of the aircraft, engine, and components workload resulting in a direct impact upon the facility's availability, turnaround time, and financial net operating results. You will participate in specification reviews with representation from the Type Commanders, Fleet Support Team (FST), Engineering, Logistics, and others to obtain current and future schedule performance data. You will monitor and analyze Material Requirements Planning exception data and make recommendations for corrections or changes. You will respond to data calls pertaining to statistics relative to analyzing Bill of Material effectiveness.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) creating and maintaining Bill of Material (BOM) requirements, including replacement rate adjustments and incorporation of technical data changes; (2) utilizing comprehensive knowledge of material and supply operations, concepts, principles, and practices; and (3) identifying BOMs establishment and maintenance, and the impact on forecasting and production schedules. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

- master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

- 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

- LL.B. or J.D., if related
