About the Position: Serves as the AMCOM Chief, in the Army Working Capital Fund (AWCF) Management Division engaged in the Command Program and Budget functions. The pay band for this position, NH-4, is equivalent to GS-14 through GS-15.

Duties

Serves as the AMCOM Chief, Army Working Capital Fund (AWCF) Management Division with complete execution program authority to include exercising administrative control of funds and the propriety of the use of funds. Defines, establishes, and directs organizational focus on challenging and highly complex command projects and programs. Provides technical, analytical, and management advice and assumes technical direction for Price and Credit exercises and functions across the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) supply chain enterprise. Provides management support to AMCOM G8 Director on status of funds, budget policy and budget impacts, and leads a budget and logistics team to support the financial planning and auditable execution of funds for Army supply chain requirements. Performs the full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance for the duration of the appointment.
  • This is a Financial Management Level 3 Certified position. Incumbent is required to obtain Financial Management Level 3 certification within 24 months of occupying the position.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up 10% of the time.
  • This position is supervisory. A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03 or GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
