You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (Fleet Technical Assistance (FTA) Manager) in the ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of CDR NAVY REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER.
Duties
You will serve as the Fleet Technical Assistance (FTA) manager, and will be responsible for the policy and oversight of the FTA program, both Surface and Submarine, as executed by each Regional Maintenance Center (RMC).
You will participate in data collection and integral data analysis efforts for the purpose of evaluating performance, recording trends, and initiating improvement efforts with the FTA program.
You will perform special engineering analyses and studies, either in support of SYSCOM/ISEA or in-house initiatives, for the purpose of developing or evaluating improvements in FTA processes, procedures, and metrics.
You will be responsible for managing the basis for measurements for the corporate metrics within the FTA program.
You will oversee development and improvements to enterprise workflow tool and program/system of record (Fleet Technical Support (FTS) program, or the Navy Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (NMRO) application) for technical assistance.
You will evaluate the effectiveness of the FTA program at each RMC in terms of mission accomplishment, technical compliance, policy and regulatory compliance via the Fleet Maintenance Activity Assessment.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NJ-03 pay band (or GS-11 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector conducting data analysis, data collection, assessments or surveys of ship maintenance activities to evaluate performance, identify trends or initiate process improvements.
