You will serve as a Engineering Technician in the Mechanical Systems branch (AB24400) of the Subsystems division of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Air Vehicle Engineering department, specifically within the Cargo and Special Operations (CSO) lab of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Duties
You will coordinate, conduct, and direct feasibility studies to effectively assess adaptability of proposed engineering design changes and or modifications.
You will lead a project team containing both government and contractor engineers and technicians.
You will coordinate with engineering technical high grades and branch manager regarding all facility operations involving technician support.
You will be responsible for excessing, retiring, or disposing of obsolete and unused equipment.
You will facilitate training for technicians as required.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Supporting and planning for hiring of temporary employees to support large-scale test effort. 2) Facilitating all operator level reporting and data reduction assignments. 3) Leading a project team containing both government and contractor engineers and technicians. 4) Knowledge of related engineering and scientific discipline practices and procedures
