You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the INDUSTRIAL & LOGISTICS GROUP, AVIATION READINESS & RESOURCES ANALYSIS DEPARTMENT, APPLICATION SUPPORT BRANCH of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. DUTY STATION: SAN DIEGO, CA

Duties

You will be responsible for coordination and integration of all logistics specialist supporting the AME Team. You will be responsible for the execution of full life cycle support including logistics readiness assessment, flexible sustainment and development, planning and implementation of major logistics software development programs. You will set priorities, distribute workload and resources, track resources, execution and evaluation progress and accomplishments of program teams and individuals. You will participate with the program FST leader, as well as NAVAIR PMA and the PMA's IPT leaders, in the long-range planning, identification and assessment of logistics resources to support current and projected requirements.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain required certification and/or license as a condition of employment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Providing leadership through adequate training to enable office personnel to competently and successfully perform assigned functions and tasks. 2. Ensuring the quality of the command's Integrated Logistics Support and engineering technical services provided by office personnel. 3. Advising on initiatives to reduce infrastructure costs and enhance organizational performance and program efficiencies. 4. Determining appropriate distribution of personnel, equipment, and other resources through competency-wide logistics and engineering staffing. 5. Delivering technical presentations to all levels of government and industry within the logistics management field.
