You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Support Equipment (SE) Fleet Support Team (FST), Automatic Test Systems (ATS) Sub-team at of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST (FRCSW) in San Diego, California.
Duties
You will assist in the development and executes the planning, directing, and prioritizing of activities and, therefore, must routinely adapt to frequent and unpredictable changes in programs and funds.
You will be responsible for the logistics functions associated with managing aircraft and weapon systems, involving many technical/ program decisions and major Department of Defense (DoD) Service operating forces/components.
You will be responsible for all Logistics and aspects/phases, from Concept Exploration to Disposal, of assigned programs.
You will provide day-to-day full-time administration of the logistics products associated with assigned weapon systems.
You will review and analyze budgets as they apply to assigned and planned aircraft/systems and equipment.
You will review program objectives to identify and correct deficiencies in establishing an integrated logistics support program.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Formulates and articulates logistics strategies for life cycle support and affordable readiness to the Program Manager. 2.) Sets priorities, distributes workload and resources, tracks resource execution and evaluates progress and accomplishments of program teams and individuals, providing coordination of personnel resources and consistent application of standard functional processes. 3.) Provide professional, economic and efficient logistics managerial services and is responsible for the management and execution of in-service support functions of cognizant aircraft and systems throughout the lifecycle.
