You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST located within the Commander Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) Support Equipment (SE) at FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will head a team of logisticians, Logistics Element Managers, technical data managers, and data analysts and has overall cognizance and responsibility for all logistic efforts with FST.
You will be responsible for managing the logistic resources required to perform support for a designated weapon system, associated components, and related support systems.
You will perform other duties assigned to you.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Develop planning objectives and management strategies for current and long range (3-5 year) program tasks. 2.) Serve as a senior logistician in directing others and formulating solutions when policies do not fully address all the Life Cycle Logistics (LCL) requirements associated with a major weapon system. 3.) Logistics expert and has an authoritative role regarding the technical aspects of weapon system logistics during policy committee forums and logistics/design interface task force meetings. 4.) Assessing the impact of ECPs on the ILS posture of weapon systems and recommend approval/disapproval based on trade-off studies/analyses between performance supportability, and cost.
