You will serve as a GG-0132-13 Intelligence Specialist in the Acoustic Intelligence (ACINT) Department (TAC-06) at the FARRAGUT TECHNICAL ANALYSIS CENTER in Suitland, MD. As a senior ACINT analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting raw ACINT data and producing briefings and written products.
Duties
You will exploit acoustic data using specialized signal processing and analysis equipment and software installed in the National ACINT Laboratory (NAIL).
You will employ Target Motion Analysis (TMA) techniques and analytical techniques used in Sound Pressure Level (SPL) measurements, acoustic signal processing theory, and sensor certification.
You will develop new/revise existing formal intelligence products and assessments relative to the capability of foreign countries to undertake certain naval operations, (including briefings, automated/manual data bases, studies, estimates, analysis).
You will develop, tailor, prepare and communicate detailed technical and intelligence based acoustic assessments and other products that represents the command position of foreign naval threat platforms acoustic signatures.
Requirements

- You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

- All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
- This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
- This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period.
- Travel may be required.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, such as:
1. Conduct Acoustic Intelligence (ACINT) signature analysis, evaluation, and interpretation of raw ACINT data to provide database quality assurance and production support.
2. Prepare detailed technical and intelligence based acoustic assessments and other products that represent the command position of foreign naval threat platforms' acoustic signatures.
3. Produce and communicate briefings and written products to a wide variety of high level audiences.
