Duties
Serves as a team leader, project leader and/or technical specialist for USASMDC, 1st Space Brigade operations related to missile warning/defense.
Responsible for developing and reviewing operations, concepts, and initiatives for 1st Space Brigade missile warning/defense.
Conduct analysis of the Missile Defense Service Battery (MDSB) performance during utilization as well as daily reporting.
Provide expert consultation and advice to leaders of the following organizations: 1st Space Brigade, USASMDC, service component leadership, combatant commands, joint staff, Department of Defense agencies, and contractors assigned to the mission area.
Develop and implement 1st Space Brigade operating and/or organizational concepts, TTPs, experiments, demonstrations, or other similar initiatives.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI access.
- This position is covered by the Civilian Drug Abuse Testing Program. Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R or a memorandum of understanding (MOU).
- This position is mission essential in order to support continuity of operations (COOP).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes demonstrated experience in 1) Planning and conducting research and analysis of a command's or brigade's missile warning/defense operations; and 2) determine their effectiveness within the framework of cost, technical risk, performance, threat, and relevance to missile warning/defense objectives.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02).
