Salary: $112 015 - 145 617 per year

You will serve as a Intelligence Specialist at the GG-13 grade level for Commander, Naval Information Forces (NAVIFOR), Farragut Technical Analysis Center.

Duties

You will represent the organization and conduct liaison and coordination within the intelligence community, Department of Defense (DoD), and other government agencies, industry, and foreign partners. You will prepare and produce cyber threat intelligence assessments. You will initiative technical reports and briefings for an executive level audience that demonstrate extensive and comprehensive analytical expertise. You will evaluate, interpret and integrate all-source intelligence and open source information and/or independently evaluates collection system solutions in support of the intelligence production process. You will apply advanced research methodologies and analytical techniques and/or collection management systems to complex work assignments. You will provide advanced oral and written communication to convey complex operational, technical, and/or political-military concepts. You will represent command positions within area(s) of expertise/focus and acting as working group or conference chair as necessary at related venues. You will provide expert opinion to various fleet, Department of Defense (DoD), selected non-Department of Defense (DoD), national policy, and international customers. You will identify and/or provide for the resolution of intelligence gaps. You will prepare or satisfies collection requirements to resolve intelligence gaps, evaluate and/or facilitates reporting from collectors in response to requirements, and provides guidance/feedback to field elements that support analytical efforts.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position may require a 2-year DCIPS Trial Period.
  • This position may require a polygraph examination.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS/GG-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: Performing complex in-depth all-source analysis and production on foreign maritime Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Cyber (C5) capabilities. Leading and tracking complex intelligence analytic projects. Reviewing technical products for overall quality, context/relevancy, analytical integrity, methodology and tradecraft. Interpreting, evaluating and integrating all-source intelligence and open source information into top-level assessments.
