You will serve as a Supervisory Intelligence Specialist in the China Strategy Division of NIMITZ WARFARE ANALYSIS CENTER's Department of Naval Analysis (DNA). This position is located in Suitland, MD. DNA conducts long-term, penetrating, all-source analysis and production in support of theater and Navy component-level strategy, operational, campaign and war planning through detailed assessments of foreign naval forces and their maritime strategies.
Duties
You will serve as the Division Head of the China Strategy Division in the Nimitz Warfare Analysis Center's Department of Naval Analysis.
You will fulfill the full breadth of first-level line supervisor responsibilities.
You will and manage the Division in accordance lead, direct, with directives and guidance from the Nimitz Warfare Analysis Center and the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI).
You will manage General Military Intelligence (GMI) analysis, focused on foreign navies, utilizing an organizational structure comprised of military and civilian personnel.
You will execute all funding, personnel and resource needs.
Requirements

- All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
- This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
- This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- The employee may be required to work overtime, including nights and weekends, and shift work as real-world events or Navy activities (to include operations and exercises) require.
- Incumbent may be required to serve as a member of a Crisis Response Team (CRT).
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Leading, directing, and managing a unit or branch in accordance with directives and guidance from the command or higher organization;
2) Managing a General Military Intelligence (GMI) analysis and production unit/office comprised of military and civilian personnel;
3) Performing the full breadth of supervisory technical, administrative and management duties to include: plan work to be accomplished by subordinates; provide advice, counsel, or instruction to employee; hear and resolve complaints from employees; identify developmental training needs of employees, providing or arranging for needed development training; initiate ways to improve production or increase the quality of work directed, and develop performance standards; and,
4) Executing funding, personnel and resource needs.
