Duties

You will establish policies, strategies, activities and specific goals and objectives related to assigned projects/ systems. You will create, implement and assess IT system designs and IT strategy, while ensuring the efficiency, security, and organizational goals are met. You will determine the gaps between the current and the target architecture and developing plans for transitioning to the target architecture. You will provide enterprise architecture guidance, support and coordination to customers and IT project teams. You will ensure all new assets, hardware components, new or upgraded software releases meet customer expectations, and verify that IT operations are able to support the new service.

  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Enterprise Architecture within 12 months of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector equipping you with knowledge of infrastructure design and management principles including methods to evaluate, implement, and disseminate information systems hardware/software. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Establishing policies, strategies, activities and specific goals and objectives related to assigned projects/systems; 2) Defining blueprints for the future development of technological landscape; 3) Performing feasibility studies, requirements analysis, cost benefits analysis for new technologies and business processes; 4) Evaluating the impact of enterprise architecture products and services on IT investments, business operations, and stakeholder satisfaction. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
