About the Position: The Amarillo MEPS is one of a network of 65 MEPS located nationwide and in Puerto Rico. The mission of USMEPCOM and the Dallas MEPS is to process individuals for enlistment or induction into the armed services, based on DoD-approved peacetime and mobilization standards.
Duties
Ensure the timely entry of validated test scores into the automated accession reporting system.
Oversee the use of automated scoring equipment and conducts scoring analysis.
Oversee test security, control, and storage procedures.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Regular evening and weekend work is required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- Must have a valid state drivers license.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting enlistment and special purpose testing. Experience in advising recruiting services and checking for valid scores once tests are finalized as outlined in regulatory guidance. Experience serving as a test score reporting liaison to MEPS Service Liaisons. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Administration, Business Management or Business Administration.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
