You will serve as a Lead IT Specialist (CUSTSPT) in the Ordnance Information System (OIS) Division, in the Supply Chain Technology and Systems Integration Directorate of NAVSUP AMMO LOG CENT MECH.
Duties
You will communicate assignments, projects, and work processes to a team of IT professionals regarding the configuration management of an IT program.
You will ensure that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated to the team and integrated into overall team goals.
You will mentor and coach subordinate team members in specific configuration management techniques and procedures.
You will monitor and report on the status of work for the team.
You will analyze configuration management products for general problems and make recommendations for areas of improvement.
You will develop requirements statements and metrics for the configuration management of automated tools to support ordnance inventory management related work processes.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1.) Developing and implementing configuration management procedures to support the maintenance and/or development of an Ordinance Information System (OIS) database or similar logistics system; 2.) Analyzing configuration output products to determine the source of errors and make recommendations regarding corrective actions and redesign studies; 3.) Providing advice and guidance to junior personnel regarding the selection and application of appropriate configuration management techniques to solve problems; 4.) Preparing reports and maintaining records of work accomplishments and administrative information in order to coordinate, prepare and present work-related information to management.
