The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Administrative Assistant for Pharma?cy Service and provide a variety of administrative and technical support functions such as monitoring and studying pharmacy workflow processes, data collection, tracking, and implementation of best practices for the Pharmacy, timekeeping duties, new employee onboarding, fund control point responsibilities and other adminis?trative functions.
Duties
Major Duties:
Identify conflicts or potential problems and makes comparisons with various alternative solutions.
Use multiple programs and software such as databases, spreadsheets, and graphics for Pharma?cy Service.
Serve the primary Personal Identity Verification (PIV) sponsor.
Serve as the primary timekeeper for Pharmacy Service.
Responsible for the timely tracking, assigning and summarization of the biannual Ongoing Profes?sional Practice Evaluations (OPPE) for all Clinical Pharmacy Specialists and Focused Professional Practice Evaluations (FPPE) for all new Clinical Pharmacy Specialists to be reviewed at Medical Executive Council
(MEC).
Timely tracking and assigning of initial Scopes of Practice for Clinical Pharmacy Specialists as well as biennial renewals for review at MEC.
Collect, compile and track licensure, BLS/ ACLS certifications and registration dates for pharma?cy staff, residents and students.
Complie and develops program materials such as hard copy and computer-based brochures and reports to in?form staff on the use of equipment such as computers, printers, fax machines, copiers, etc.
Additional duties as assigned.

Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. This position may be authorized for telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 08/23/2023.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
Must be able to type 40 words per minute
In addition to the typing requirement, you may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Establishes and maintains files consistent with VA records management regulations, places and receives calls, prepares agendas, forms, publications, performs timekeeping duties, and maintains information in applicable database.

Physical Requirements: Work involves bending, stooping, standing, walking, carrying less than 15 pounds, using a computer terminal and may require driving an automobile.
