Duties

Experience with system access management and user provisioning holding role of Account Manager and or Information System Security Officer (ISSO). Creating, modifying, and removing user roles as authorized on the System Authorization Access Request (SAAR) using Account Management and Provisioning System (AMPS). Assigning initial DoD-compliant passwords for registration of CAC and third-party accounts, Resetting user accounts and passwords. Provide operational support for accounting and finance systems through systems analysis, systems modification, data management and enhanced business processes. Identifies weaknesses and problems and develops recommendations for revisions or modifications to existing systems to improve effectiveness, efficiency and economy. Ensures that internal controls for procedures are operating properly in accordance with regulation and requirements. Reviews/analyzes new legislation and proposed policy changes to determine impact(s) on current operations and needs for system updates.

  • Time after Competitive Appointment: Candidates must have served 3 months after latest competitive appointment in the Federal service.

  • Obtain/Maintain Financial Management Certification
  • Please note, this is NOT a 100% virtual/remote position where work may be performed from any location in the US. This position is eligible for local telework near the duty station of the position, subject to management review and approval.

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: experience reviewing, identifying and recommending process improvements on an information system access team; experience with automated systems design and processing principles, techniques, policies and regulations related to finance and accounting operations; identifying, documenting and recommending financial system requirements; researching issues related to the integration of financial systems. Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in Federal Service. You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

Education is not substitutable for specialized experience at this grade level.
