You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the CYBERSECURITY AND SOFTWARE ENGINEERING DIVISION, DIGITAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, PORT HUENEME DIVISION.

Duties

You will serve as the Division Software and Cybersecurity Lead Engineer. You will lead a division Software and Cybersecurity Engineering capability to ensure alignment with higher echelon organizational entities. You will develop and execute tactical goals and action plans in support of Strategic Objectives and sponsor requirements. You will ensure software and cybersecurity engineering requirements are identified, pursued, tracked, and assessed against strategic and organizational goals. You will be responsible for translating software policies into requirements; plan and design software systems architecture to meet assurance for systems in sustainment. You will provide technical oversight on all software related efforts to ensure department supported combat and weapons systems are successfully able to support the Warfighter's missions. You will work with key program and system stakeholders to define, develop, and manage software-related systems integration and Test and Evaluation requirements to meet key schedules and milestones.

• This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Program Manager level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating computer software systems to provide guidance on resolving cybersecurity or system vulnerability issues and ensuring the secure development and testing of software systems. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
