Duties

You will assess current system architectures, and design new system architectures in cloud environments. Identify cost of current systems and determine an analysis of alternatives. You will identify stakeholder requirements for the implementation of changes in organizational mission, business functions and process, organizational roles and responsibilities, and scope or nature of service delivery. You will focus on the end-to-end functionality and performance across the System of Systems (SOS) and be cognizant of the asynchronous nature of system development and integration requirements. You will utilize strong communication and organizational skills, and be comfortable presenting project information to managers, executives and stakeholders. You will determine the applicability of science and technology activities to the acquisition of a system. Applying the risk management process as a basis for making sound acquisition program decisions for projects assigned.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: Attention to Detail - Focus on the end-to-end functionality and performance across the System of Systems (SOS), and be cognizant of the asynchronous nature of system development and integration requirements. Customer Service - Identification of stakeholder requirements for the implementation of changes in organizational mission, business functions and process, organizational roles and responsibilities, and scope or nature of service delivery. Oral Communication - Utilize strong communication and organizational skills, and be comfortable presenting project information to managers, executives and stakeholders. Problem Solving - Assess current system architectures, and design new system architectures in cloud environments. Identify cost of current systems and determine an analysis of alternatives. Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or NO-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Maintaining cloud computing architectures for distributed systems; Utilizing enterprise information technology (IT) architectural concepts and patterns to include baseline and target architectures; AND Utilizing strong communication and organizational skills to present, defend, or recommend project information to managers, executives AND/OR stakeholders.
