About the Position: As a senior/lead Human Resources (HR) Specialist working in a Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC) exercises an expert level of knowledge and skill in applying the full range of HR methods, principles, practices, and evaluative methodologies sufficient to advise on and/or resolve the full range of operational problems. This position will be filled at Arlington, Virginia or Rock Island, Illinois.

Duties

Serve as Staffing/Recruitment Team lead. Coach team in the selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods and techniques. Conducts one-on-one and group training on various staffing/recruitment topics. Review, monitor, and balance team workload. Advise employees, supervisors, and management officials on staffing requirements and resources.

One year of specialized experience which includes providing comprehensive civilian human resources (HR) advice and guidance on recruitment strategies, sources, special programs, relocation, and retention incentive programs; selecting and applying the appropriate problem solving methods and techniques on various civilian staffing/recruitment issues; ensuring civilian personnel actions are in compliance with regulation, policy, and guidance; and providing civilian HR advice and assistance in all stages of the recruitment process. This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
