Duties
Analyze contract performance and makes recommendations for revisions as projects proceed through the acquisition life cycle.
Develop and recommend contracting policies and procedures for subordinate organizational elements.
Advise on contract strategies to best accomplish the applicable acquisition plan.
Review procurement documents for accuracy and adequacy to include resolutions, as needed.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Secret security clearance.
- Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- Acquisition certification, Contracting, Contracting Professional level, within 3 years of job entry.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing procurement to analyze, plan, review requirements, and make recommendations to participate in contract negotiations, meet and deal with high level business, industry, and Government officials; managing and controlling potential problem areas before contract performance, schedule, and costs are adversely impacted. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
