About the Position: Serves as Supervisory Acquisition Analyst providing high-level technical advice and management advisory services on all aspects of contract administration for a wide variety of research and development programs to include specialized services such as fiscal close out of contracts. This is a pay banded position. The NH-03 encompasses grades 12 and 13 on the General Schedule.

Duties

Direct all activities associated with contract management and efficiency of contract processes and actions. Coordinates with major subordinate staff to coordinate procurement plans and programs. Review correspondence, policy, and other business management materials for accuracy to meet strategic goals and objectives. Review, approve or redirect procurement planning. Direct the development, production, and fielding of a major weapon system and/or related mission equipment.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain or possess a Secret Security Clearance.
  • A one-year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Contracting Certification within 3 years of entrance on duty.
  • This position requires temporary duty travel (TDY) up to 20% of the time.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). There is a one-year probationary period unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) In-depth knowledge of aviation weapon systems; 2) Experience leading a group or team in developing, maintaining, and coordinating acquisition plans and programs to assure timely and economical requirements are met; and 3) Experience working with contracting agencies to ensure contracts are taken from requirements definition to contract award.
