You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the POWER AND ENERGY SYSTEMS DIVISION, SPECIAL WARFARE & EXPEDITIONARY SYSTEMS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is equivalent to the GS-11/12 level.

Duties

You will serve as an Acquisition Management Specialist (AQM). You will work with acquisition managers/task order managers for large contract delivery orders, and the supported organization relative to all procurements matters. You will advise managers and technical personnel in the organization on all facets of material related procurement package development. You will analyze requirements and develop overall procurement strategies and approaches. You will provide proper and appropriate oversight of material purchases to ensure financial and technical compliance with the contract terms and conditions.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 pay band (GS-9/10 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector identifying and analyzing technical project requirements to assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies to ensuring compliance with contract requirements. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR

OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus percentage of the required experience must equal one hundred percent.
