About the Position: This position serves as a Lead Logistics Management Specialist for the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command. The Army's Face to the World, the one-stop focal point for Army FMS, and the international partner of choice in U.S. security assistance.

Duties

Implement policy, procedures, and processes for security assistance, which result from higher government laws, regulations, and policies. Lead a team to ensure that work assignments are effectively and efficiently carried out. Document, train, and assist the security assistance enterprise on foreign military sales (FMS) processes, systems, and/or applications. Coach a team in the selection and application of problem-solving methods and techniques. Brief all levels of US government on assigned processes to meet overall security assistance goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Percentage of time to be spent Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) is 15%.
  • The position requires DoD SC Workforce (SCW) Certification. The incumbent must complete certification-related training requirements in the SC Area of Concentration (AoC) within the timeframe associated with the position's SCW certification level.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) working with team members to achieve tasks, produce work products, and meet system goals, providing training as necessary; 2) providing analysis and recommendations relative to foreign military sales (FMS) processes, policy/procedural issues, and inquiries; 3) developing training material and providing hands-on training; and 4) leading and participating in meetings rendering decisions on new or revised policies which impact FMS processes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral CommunicationOrganizational AwarenessPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
