You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the CYBERSECURITY & SOFTWARE ENGINEERING DIVISION (D40), DIGITAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, located in Port Hueneme, CA.

Duties

You will develop and execute tactical goals and action plans in support of command strategic objectives and sponsor requirements. You will serve as the advisor to the information system owner, Department management, and the C-ISSM on all matters (technical and otherwise) involving the security of the labs and afloat systems which D40 has cognizance over. You will manage the security aspects of the information system and, in many cases, be assigned responsibility for the day-to-day security operations. You will be responsible for the departments long term strategy of lab consolidation, both technical and otherwise, to streamline operations in a secure manner while executing the mission. You will provide directions and guidance to all software and cybersecurity related matters. You will manage schedules, budgets, and resources for assigned projects.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Program Manager: Intermediate level within 12 months of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying Information Technology (IT) cybersecurity principles to provide technical guidance for the validation of requirements and delivery of IT capabilities.
