Duties

Serve as principal staff advisor on all aspects of Civilian and Military personnel management. Monitor the implementation and execution of organizational-wide Civilian and Military personnel policies and programs. Oversee the Civilian and Military personnel management program. Review personnel office staff and organization structures to assure adequacy and uniformity. Represent the organization in meetings with the Office of Personnel Management, agency and other organizational representatives.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance throughout the duration of employment.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY), approximately 25% of the time.
  • OGE-450 required
  • Supervisory Probationary period may be required.
  • 1 year probationary period may be required.

Specialized experience is defined as: Plan, organize and direct the Personnel Programs, to include Well-being Programs, Strength Management and associated systems. Provides guidance and assistance to the command group on all matters relating to civilian personnel administration, military personnel management, and manpower organization and documentation activities. Provide broad policy and program guidance and relies on incumbent to assure implementation of the total civilian and military management program. Represent the top technical authority on civilian personnel matters and the commands principal staff officer responsible for planning and executing policy/operational aspects of the total human resource management program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
