About the Position: This is a Term position with the US Army Cadet Command Headquarters, Deputy Chief of Staff located in Fort Knox, Kentcuky.

Duties

Serve as the organization Program Manager is support of the Accessions Information Environment (AIE). Analyze Command program processes to support the organization’s recruiting mission Provide program data to support recruiting and accessioning needs. Tracks organizations policies governing AIE development. Brief senior leaders and management on program/project status and significant program/project developments Develop information papers for appropriate activities. Identify opportunities to improve overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Accessions Information Environment project. Develop roadmaps to achieve organizational recruiting and accessioning needs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY), approximately 15% of the time.
  • Supervisory probation may be required.
  • Term trial period of 1-year may be required.

Specialized experience is defined as: Utilizing program management techniques, methods and practices to address complex organizational issues; providing program data to support recruiting and accessioning needs; Devising effective strategies for analyzing and prioritizing proposed organizational projects; Utilizing technology, regulations, and guidance to determine best practices and capabilities for organizational programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral CommunicationPlanning and EvaluatingProblem SolvingProject Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
