Provide policy, guidance, and associated training for Information Protection disciplines and Program Protection Planning (PPP) activities associated with AFNWC Programs. Implement processes, train program personnel, and review or assist in the preparation of acquisition security of acquisition program documentation.
Plan, organize, and direct technical activities associated with HQ and Directorate physical, personnel, information, and industrial security requirements. Direct activities of assigned contractor personnel. Identify and validate mission security requirements through evaluation or development of security elements of applicable program.
Effectively plan, manage, monitor, and coordinate support for assigned directorates with focus on security, warfighter requirements and cost efficiencies.
Effectively provide briefings and keep Center Commander, HQ Staff and Directors informed on security programs. Lead and support as team member for Center Information Protection security assessments and inspections.

- Obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance.
- Locations are not negotiable. The actual duty locations available may be located on the Air Force Civilian Service website.
- This is a drug testing position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.

- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; employee must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
- The employee must obtain and maintain the required Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC) Certification conferrals within 2 years.
- Work may occasionally require the employee to work outside the normal business hours, such as overtime or an irregular work shift.
- The employee must demonstrate mastery of a wide range of advanced concepts, principles, criteria, requirements, technology, and practices involved in security.
- The employee must demonstrate mastery of security program interrelationships to coordinate the objectives and plans of two or more specialized programs to support and promote information sharing and strategies.
- This position is a designated national security position.
- The employee will be required to travel by car to inspections in the local area. A valid driver?s license is required for the position.
- Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 30 days per year.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Mastery knowledge of information security concepts, principles, and practices to analyze, and resolve issues.
2. Expert knowledge in analytical theories, processes, programs and practices.
3. Sophisticated understanding and skill in applying broad or in-depth expertise in highly complex and ambiguous situations.
4. Knowledge of government contractual practices and requirements for development and purchase of aerospace weapon systems. Must be familiar with civilian industrial organization, operations, and management practices.
5. Ability to plan, organize work, and meets deadlines.
