You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the ENVIRONMENTAL CAP DEV & SUST DIV, FACILITIES ENVIRO & SAFETY DEPT, COMMAND OPERATIONS GROUP of NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND.
Duties
You will assist in supporting NAVAIR Environmental Compliance Program, OPNAV program assessments, Navy IG inspections and NAVAIR IG Environmental Functional support with understanding and application of Environmental Management Systems.
You will support the PPBES for Environmental Readiness Program requirements for the Command as a Navy Budget Submitting Office for NAVAIR environmental readiness requirements and compliance.
You will assist in the coordination with Environmental Readiness Higher authority taskers; congressional reports/inquiries, Department of Defense Environmental Management reviews, and initiatives including policy/legislative/regulatory reviews.
You will assist in supporting directives, documents, or work products requiring review/endorsement at Echelon II.
You will assist in supporting the NAVAIR Environmental Readiness Community of Practice; supporting environmental readiness program tools and training.
You will support working groups with OPNAV N4I / ASN and coordination of representation to Navy and Office of Secretary Defense in environmental readiness matters pertaining to Naval Aviation.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band (NH-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Demonstrating experience with environmental readiness programs in environmental compliance and environmental planning programs; 2) Writing environmental policy or providing guidance or interpretation of environmental requirements; 3) Planning, programming, budgeting, and execution for environmental readiness, compliance, and planning; 4) Developing environmental documentation and/ or evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of environmental readiness, programs, projects, documents and/or industrial/research development test and evaluation operations for environmental compliance including use of environmental management systems; and 5) Working well with people at all levels within and external to an organization, even under difficult circumstances.
