About the Position: This position is with the Corps of Engineers, Huntington District, Executive Office located in Huntington, WV. The incumbent will assist and train District staff to prepare conference requests for command review and approval at both District and MSC levels.
Duties
Plan, coordinate, analyze, direct, and evaluate administrative missions and operations.
Assists with award citations, conferences packages, Purchase Requests and Commitments, New Employee Orientation.
Track and execute the overhead training budget for the organization.
Organizes, plans, and provides training to district Administrative Assistants regarding initiatives within the Strategic Integration Office.
Assists management by helping to track, manage, and communicate the status of programs within the Strategic Integration Office.
Develop PROSPECT courses and training with different Organizations within the District.
Requirements

- The Incumbent must possess and maintain a valid state motor vehicle operator's license prior to appointment.

Specialized Experience GS-09: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting supervisor or team in establishing procedures, guidelines, or policies for a program; resolving issues and responding to inquiries; supporting and coordinating District's workforce program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Human Resources or Program Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Specialized Experience GS-11: One year of specialized experience which includes developing initiatives for District's work force readiness program; preparing and conducting briefings and or training; planning and managing policies for District's new employee orientation program; serving as backup point of contact, resolving issues, and responding to inquiries. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Human Resources or Program Management
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
