About the Position: This position provides technical chiropractic work and administrative support for a medical treatment facility at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Liberty, NC.

Duties
Initiate intake process of new patients receiving services from clinicians.
Perform procedures such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, cold, and/or hydrotherapy with instruction from the chiropractor.
Maintain clinic supply levels for treatment items, linens, and office supplies.
Request patient medical records, including x-rays and test restults, from appropriate clinics.
Utilize automated healthcare systems for tracking patient healthcare data.
Receive telephone calls, patients, and visitors of the medical facility.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a favorable result from a National Agency Background Check.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- This position requires that you obtain and maintain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- This position requires heavy lifting up to 45 pounds.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience and/or education requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes taking patient vital signs to record them in patient's record; assisting with chiropractic treatments/procedures for patients such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, cold, hydrotherapy, and other procedures; coordinating the flow of patients from waiting area to provider within a timely manner; confirming patient appointments to include coordination of patient appointments with other providers; providing patients with basic information on nutrition, ergonomics, proper posture, and exercise; utilizing automated healthcare systems to update patient medical histories. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).

Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major study or at least 24 semester hours in subjects directly related to the position, such as Chiropractic Technology or Chiropractic Technician.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
