About the Position: The incumbent is a Senior Engineering Technician and Technical Specialist for Directorate Public Works (DPW), Business Operations Integration Division (BOID), Engineering, or Operations and Maintenance Divisions, with responsibility for carrying out, directing, and coordinating work required for planning, engineering management, construction, facility related services, operations, and coordination of assigned projects throughout the garrison.
Duties
Ensures technical adequacy, completeness, timeliness, and consistency of the finished product or services.
Serves as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and/or Project Manager on Highly Technical and/or Highly Sensitive Construction Projects or Service contracts.
Ensures management of Division? contracts and ensures provision of total engineering services.
Serves as a point of contact (POC) for the Directorate of Publics Works (DPW) on projects/services accomplished through local contracting office and/or the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE. )
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- This position requires that the employee successfully completes the required Contracting Officer Representative (COR) training within 6 months and maintain COR certification.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
