Duties
You will serve as the Neptune Navy Cloud Lead, leading the Navy Enterprise Cloud Management team within the Neptune office and working in close partnership with the Marine Corps team within Neptune
You will maintain and optimize the portfolio of cloud services available to Navy customers, working with various commands and offices in the Navy and with the Marine Corps team within Neptune.
You will work with cloud service providers who offer Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)
You will lead efforts, along with the Marine Corps team within Neptune, to document, automate, and optimize the customer journey for discover, requesting, obtaining, migrating, employing, and retiring cloud services.
You will utilize the Naval Digital Marketplace cloud portal and by employing Finance-Operations (FinOps) best practices.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Generally, current Federal employees applying to APS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. All qualifications and pay band requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and documented in your resume.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading and managing the transformation and change management activities that support large scale multi-cloud services to a diverse array of large and small customers.
