You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (POLICY PLANNING) of NAVSUP BUSINESS SYSTEMS CENTER.
Duties
You will server as the senior network technical specialist for Information Technology (IT) activities governing the policy, planning and delivery of IT infrastructure services and design.
You will server as the senior network technical specialist for identifying, assessing and controlling IT infrastructure security vulnerabilities, threats, and risks.
You will provide operational oversight for the NAVSUP BSC Infrastructure which includes documenting IT requirements, providing technology guidance and planning the implementation of technology solutions.
You will produce, quality, secure and resilient designs and documentation for new or improved infrastructure component technologies and services.
Requirements

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area CSWF level I within 12 months of appointment.
Qualifications
For GS-13:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Configuring, monitoring, and sustaining fully operational networks, including devices such as routers, switches, gateways, and wireless appliances;
2) Understanding ports, protocols, and services used to operate a network and deliver network packets successfully;
3) Documenting IT requirements, providing technology guidance and planning the implementation of technology solutions that sustain or enhance infrastructure capabilities;
4) Designing and developing new or unique software diagnostics and testing methodology for resolving new and unparalleled hardware, software or communication problems across multi-system environments.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
For GS-12:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Configuring, monitoring, and sustaining fully operational networks, including devices such as routers, switches, gateways, and wireless appliances; 2) Understanding ports, protocols, and services used to operate a network and deliver network packets successfully;
3) Documenting IT requirements, providing technology guidance and planning the implementation of technology solutions that sustain or enhance infrastructure capabilities;
4) Providing detailed information on new and related hardware/software capabilities available throughout the industry.
