About the Position: Serves as the Property Book Officer (PBO) for the Brigade responsible for the administration, execution and direction of property accountability, GSA vehicle accountability, and also administers the Command Supply Discipline Program.

Duties

Develops and evaluates the logistics and property accountability policies for the Brigade. Reviews and evaluates subordinate operations and develops changes in internal procedures and processes to meet workload demands and improve efficiencies. Responsible for interpreting and administering accountability procedures for personal property and special purpose equipment assigned to remote field locations. Coordinates, controls, and reviews property authorizations and accountability, to include preparation and submission of the equipment portion of the brigade TDA/MTOE for review, approval, and publication. Performs all administrative functions to include establishing and operating the Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS), (CONT) inputting data into the automated property book, Global Combat Support System ? Army (GCSS-A) and preparing correspondence. Assists in the administration of the supply and property management program for the brigade.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes monitor status of funds for procurement and determine priorities for allocation of resources; AND evaluate supply programs and/or property accountability operations to identify issues; AND interpret and explain new or changed supply and property book regulations and procedures and implementation guidance to Brigade and subordinate units; AND answer customer inquiries such as requisition status, pending orders, and/or reports of discrepancies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
